Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Chickpea Soaked & Boiled

  • 2 pc Onion Chopped

  • 1 pc Tomato chopped

  • 4 pc Green Chili Chopped

  • 3 pc Potatoes Boiled & mashed

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder

  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder

  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder

  • 2 tbsp Curd

  • 1 tbsp Tamarind Pulp

  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 3 tbsp Mint Leaves

  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves

Directions

  • Into a large bowl, take overnight soaked and properly boiled black chickpeas 1 cup.
  • Add finely chopped mint 3 tbsp, chopped onion 2 pcs, chopped tomato 1 pc, chopped green chilies 4 pcs – mix well.
  • Add boiled & mashed potatoes 3 pcs – stir well.
  • Add salt 1 tsp, cumin powder 1/2 tsp, coriander powder 1 tsp, red chili powder 1/2 tsp – mix everything well.
  • Add curd 2 tbsp, tamarind pulp 1 tbsp, lemon juice 1 tbsp – give it a last stir & toss to mix well.
  • Delicious black chana chaat is ready !

Notes

  • You can use pressure cooker for easy boiling of the chickpeas before adding to the chaat.
