But what does one mean by minimal ingredients? Could it mean plain rice? Omelet? Just bread? Or maybe even milk? That is up to you. Although these contain one to two components, they are single ingredient-based food. In this recipe, we will show you how you can make a complete, homecooked, delicious, and steamy vegetable rice that only requires four ingredients: rice, canned veggies, black pepper powder, and salt. These provide enough nutrients for a healthy meal and gives your body the strength to take on the day.

You may also add your desired ingredient to your liking to suit your taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 2+1/2 cup Water

  • 1 cup Rice

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder

  • 1 can Mix vegetables (398ml)

Directions

  • Into a heating pot, add water 2+1/2 cups, rice 1 cup and let it boil for about 5 minutes with the lid on.
  • Open the lid and give the rice a good stir.
  • Add salt 1 tsp, black pepper powder 1/4 tsp and turn the heat to medium-low and give it a quick stir.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and let it cook for about 6-7 minutes.
  • Open the lid and add the vegetables into the cooking rice and mix everything well.
  • Close with lid and let the rice cook properly for about 5-7 minutes.
  • The Vegetables rice is ready to serve. Serve them warm with salad, sauce or any side.
